Today is Tuesday March 9, 2010, spa50's birthday.

I want to tell you a story about 'The Secret.' A couple of years ago I read the book The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. It's based on a simple philosophy that has been around since the beginning of time. In short, "You get what you give." This philosophy is spoken about in the Bible and by Buddha. If one applies this to one's life, that life becomes much sweeter.

At the beginning of last year, I picked up The Secret Daily Teachings flip calendar. Every day I read the message, typed it into an email and sent it to my friends and family. This allowed me to read it, write it, and read it again. As with any homily, the message was usually directed right at me. Through out the year, I would get an occasional email back from someone telling me how much they needed to hear that message that day or asking me to add a friend of theirs to the list. It filled me up to know that I was sharing with the people that I love.

Day 1 began on a Monday and I started on that Monday. A few months into it, we went on a week's vacation and I got away from sending it daily. When I returned to it, the days of the week were off but I just kept rolling with it.

By the time I reached day 365, I landed back on a Monday, that Monday was yesterday March 8, 2010 - the message reads:

"You are in the perfect place on your perfect journey. You are right where you are meant to be, because you chose it. In fact, you could not be more perfect than you are now."

How about that?
