Bewitching Hour

Does any other mother experience the "bewitching hour", besides Tylene and myself? Ours are between 3:30 and 4:30 every afternoon. This is like clockwork.

Yet for some reason, I decide to take my 5 & 3 year old to the grocery store at 3:45 today to look for something to make for dinner. First I got stuck in traffic because Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Beck are on tour at the USF Sundome. When we finally arrived (30 min. later) at the grocery store, which by the way, is less than a mile from my house, the boys were in total melt down mode, whining and fighting in the back seat.

We arrive and I suddenly become one of those mothers that everyone looks at while her uncontrolled children start running around the store. By the time we got to check out with our pork chops and fruit roll ups, the 2 are in a full blown shove match. The 3 yr old ends face up on the floor while the 5 yr old decides to body slam him, leading to a full on cry!

At this point I turn to the 2 young ladies checking me out and I exclaim, "This is why God made VODKA!"

Are we really the only ones that experience this?
